Haitian Earthquake Disaster Information

If you wish to volunteer for the earthquake response and relief work, please seriously consider volunteering with an established relief agency. Spontaneous volunteers may create additional problems and confusion in a disaster. While well-intended, health care providers who just show up at a disaster can actually slow and confuse disaster efforts. If you wish to volunteer, consider contacting a relief agency such as the American Red Cross. If you are planning on traveling to Haiti to volunteer, please read the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s guidance for Haiti Earthquake Response and Relief Workers.
