WASHINGTON - The American Academy of Nursing, a Fellowship composed of nursing's most accomplished leaders in education, management, practice and research, is currently accepting applications for Fellowship. Its members have been recognized for their extraordinary nursing careers and are among the nation's most highly-educated citizens. Completed applications will be accepted from January 1, 2010 through February 26, 2010. The selected class of Fellows will be inducted at the Academy’s 37th Annual Meeting and Conference on November 13th, 2010 at the Grand Hyatt Washington, Washington, DC.

Selection criteria include evidence of significant contributions to nursing and health care. Each nominee must be sponsored by two current Academy Fellows. Selection is based, in part, on the extent to which nominees' nursing careers influence health policies for the benefit of citizens at a national or international level.
